The Multi Barbers Association was founded in Lagos in 2019 by twelve barbers who were tired of working alone. Today it sets the standard for training, verification and fair pay across the Nigerian grooming industry.

Any barber working in Nigeria — full-time, part-time or as an apprentice with at least one year on the floor. You must be 18 or older, hold a valid ID and operate from a addressable shop or a documented home-service route. Salon owners can register the whole team under one trade account.

₦12,500 per year for a standard member, or ₦30,000 for a shop licence covering up to four chairs. Both include the directory listing, voucher access, the money box, trade pricing on the store and every training module in the curriculum. Renewal falls on the anniversary of your M.B.A number.

Yes. A voucher is issued against the M.B.A network, not a single shop — the receiver redeems at any participating barber. If you want to surprise one specific barber, add their name in the message field and we will flag it as preferred, though redemption stays open across the network for the full six months.

Redemptions are batched and paid out every Friday before 16:00 WAT to your registered bank account or wallet. Anything redeemed between Monday and Thursday is included in that week's run; Friday evening redemptions roll into the following week. Every payout comes with a reference you can match against your dashboard.

Three checks: a government ID match, a physical or video skills review by your state chapter, and a shop visit where one is available. Verified members get a public page, an M.B.A number and a digital ID card. Re-verification runs every 12 months and can be suspended if hygiene or conduct complaints are upheld.

No. Contributions are held in a segregated trust account with a licensed partner and are not a deposit with a bank. Funds are released back to you according to the plan you choose — flexible withdrawal at any time, or a locked target with a 6% p.a. bonus paid on completion.
