Chidi started cutting in a two-chair shop on Adeniran Ogunsanya in 2014, apprenticed under Baba Segun before spending three years in a Terminus salon learning structured fades. He opened Fade Republic in Lekki Phase 1 in 2021 and joined the M.B.A the same year.
He is known for a low taper that grows out clean, a beard line that keeps its shape for two weeks, and for never starting a cut without a fresh blade. Chidi takes six walk-ins a day and keeps the rest of the chair bookable on WhatsApp — the voucher network covers about a third of his weekly takings.
